Week of September 20 - 24, 2021

This week we started getting further into our routines and learning.  We did a lot of partner work as we explored our new materials.  Working with partners encourages cooperation and allows the children to support each other in their learning!

In math, we played addition bingo with partners.

And in reading, we partner read using our readers.

Back to School 2021

 Back to School 2021

Welcome to First Grade!!!!

I am excited to have a group of students who are ready to start each new day!
Over the past week and a half, First Grade has been learning rules and routines, reviewing some things that they learned last year, and getting to know each other better. Here is a peek at some of the activities on which we have been working.

We explored math manipulatives

and practiced writing number sentences.

We drew pictures and wrote stories about ourselves

and shared our work so we could learn a little more about each other!

We even took some time for some play-doh breaks to get our hands moving!
